For this activity, I interviewed my Grandpa David. As a child, he lived in Cuba, but was soon sent away, for it was no place for a child to grow up. His brother, dozens of other kids, and some adults traveled to America to find better hope, but unfortunately, my grandfather’s parents could not make the travel with him and his brother right away. So, my grandpa and Uncle Sam went with the other families to Michigan where they both ended up growing up. Their parents, my great grandparents, eventually came and they now have so many stories they tell me and my cousins with such fun memories.
